Over 30 years later, Moundsville Pharmacy continues to provide pharmacy services to meet the needs of its community. Today, the operation of Moundsville Pharmacy continues through the efforts of pharmacy owner, Jason Turner, PharmD and his staff of three other pharmacists, six technicians, and a bookkeeper. Moundsville Pharmacy’s friendly, professional staff members are eager to serve and are skilled in creating solutions for even the most difficult problems.
For the past several years, Turner has been securing property and planning the design for a new location to operate Moundsville Pharmacy. The expansion and growth of the pharmacy into its new location demonstrates the solid commitment of Moundsville Pharmacy to the community.
Although located just across from the current pharmacy location, the new pharmacy site will offer improved access, increased parking, drive thru service, and most importantly, modernized space to improve and expand the specialty services currently offered at the pharmacy.
In addition, the new location will feature a full line of durable medical equipment including canes, walkers, compression hose, therapeutic shoes, and other convenience items. Dedicated retail space will now offer the Moundsville community even more options, as it will feature West Virginia-made items and many unique gift ideas.
Moundsville Pharmacy will continue to provide health and education services to its patients, including health screenings, diabetes training, medication therapy management, hormone replacement consultations, and annual Medicare Part D plan reviews.
The pharmacy remains committed to pharmacy education and will continue to serve as an experiential learning site for students of both the West Virginia University and University of Charleston Schools of Pharmacy.
Moundsville Pharmacy owes the last 30 years of success to the community – with many of its longtime patients witnessing its growth, improvements, and expansion. In appreciation, Moundsville Pharmacy has been an active supporter of local organizations. Turner and staff have remained committed to pharmacy’s core values, with continued community support and the recent development of the CommunityRx Program.
The community will share in the excitement of the Grand Opening of the new Moundsville Pharmacy location in Spring 2014 – built to serve its community and future generations.
